Pepelow - flat and shallow water paradise

DAY 42 & 43
On the next day we went again the SPO beach to check if there is any wind - we spent 2 hours playing football and decided to go further east  to our next stop and one of the most popular spots in mid coast of Germany - Pepelow. After driving in a pretty melow way, we arrived there in late afternoon. Carsten, a friend who ownes a kite shop and school right at the campsite booked us good spots for our RVs and showed us the way to the only resturant open still. Mark, our company co-owner and sales manager, arrived right after we ate, and toghether with Tim we planned the next days demo on the beach and had some beers and laughs.

The next morning early we woke up and set up our kites and boards for the demo day and got to know the local riders a bit. The kites were pretty sandy and wet from the previous demodays before in Holland events, so we pumped everything, cleaned them up and set out to dry for the locals to try. The wind was about 10 knots this day so the Big Mama and Boss were the pick. Franz seemed to make a 9 meter work like he had a 12 with his custom board. The people were stoked to ride and although this day wasn't epic for kiteboarding it was great to meet the dedicated kiters there who ride rain or shine. Our day ended with a delicious 2 table endless BBQ with cases of cold beer. The next morning after some serious cleaning up of the mess, we left Germany waving good bye to Tim and Franz who headed back to Brussel where he was waiting for his young wife to arrive first time in Europe. The remaining of us Mark, Winky, Ben, Peter and Myself hit the road racing toward Poland for a chillout week which all of us needed badly after more than 40 days on a road. After 11.500 km we really deserved it - 11.500 km with crazy gang crew but no accident, only some minor bumps and bruises and a world of stoke for a safe and successfull trip with friends. WOW - WHAT A TRIP IT WAS !!!
