First full day in Belgium
DAY 34
We got to sleep in a bit this morning and after some nice slow breakfast and internet we headed to the kite spot nearby to set up a massive kite demo day.
Upon our arrival there were many local Rabbits already flying even though the wind was light and on-shore. We brought tons of gear down to the sandy beach and displayed everything for the people to try. Even though the wind was light the Big Mama and Boss were powering the riders with ease. Corentin, our distributor from French part of Belgium (very important to recognize that !!!), and more importantly great friend of Franz (that means our as well of course), met up with us and came with a harness camera mount for the go pro HD set up and Niccolo took a longboard out for some unique shots. Franz went out on the smoke and wowed the crowd as he swerved through hundreds of surfers, boaters, kayakers and swimmers in a 300 meter onshore spot. The rest of the crew was on the beach, demoing out the gear and drinking tons of coffee all day.
After some stunt kite flying with the bunny in about 8 knots and boardwalk sector 9 sk8 session with Niccolo the gang with growling stomachs headed straight to town for some good dinner. Franz and Niccolo ordered horse meat while the rest of us stuck with burgers. Horse is pretty good actually, a lot like venicin. Anyhow, we ate like kings and headed happily back to the pad for a good night in cool breeze Belgium.
