Bordeaux - The capital of wine
DAY 25
Today we once again met with our French partners, super cool guys from SpinCo. Their whole team came here to meet us all the way from Montpellier. Herve, Pierre, Joseph and Indie brought fresh energy and woke us with their smiles. As it was a bit late already and a group of Lou's fans was already waiting at the nearby lake, we headed directly there. With the croissant in one hand and coffee in other we drove to the spot to find ourselves in the totally different than just 2 days ago, kiting environment. Lovely lake in the middle of the deep green forest with very light but still kiteable wind was a definitely something opposite to what we have been seeing over last week.
As the smaller camper, with most of kites in it, went to make the repair of the faulty part that mechanics already in Tarifa diagnosed for us, we ended up with only 4 Bosses and 2 smokes. Of course it wasn`t a big problem and however this day Big Mama would definitely warm up couple hearts, Bosses did a great job as well, and local kiters equipped with the special low wind boards just couldn't believe how big of potential this 12m Rabbit has. Later they grabbed our new twintips and generally were very surprised they don’t need the doors to stay upwind.
Some others tried also our new surf boards and despite we totally didn’t expect anything to happen we were very happy to witness that even in such unique forest wind conditions our gear was making people stoked.
After the session at the lake we went straight to the restaurant to eat some good food. Well as many of you probably know the French kitchen is just ridiculous, everything is being prepared very carefully and is super tasty. Rare steaks are definitely rare and really bloody and with the great red Bordeux they are totally delicious.
