Rabbit Gang is back – we were a bit lost in some time dimension cause as you know we were in Holland, country famous of the best coffee :)
Fortunately we were lucky not to get totally lost, thanks to our GPS, but mainly to Chris - our great representative in Benelux, who took care of us for the whole week, making sure everything went well.
On the day we arrived in Holland in Workum, there was almost no wind, but Mark, Wainman Hawaii sales manager (65kg only :)), still was able to ride Big Mama with 135 Blunt. We also got some good photos of the whole Rabbit family – finally together.
But the next day wind cooperated fully – and that’s the best that could happen to us, as that day Chris planned a dealer meeting, so we could present all our new gear to kite shops and schools of Holland.
We spent all day in Zandvoort at the beach restaurant, which belongs to one of the Wainman Hawaii friends and riders – Patrick. This place is also a naked beach, that part was also funny, preparing our stuff in the middle of naked “boys & girls” (+ 60 years old ). That's Holland with his people, happy and free, freaks or serious everything is possible here, we like it.
We were so lucky with conditions – 20-25 knots, sunny and warm. Side shore with little kickers, ahah. All our customers were trying whatever they wanted, so it was perfect. On this almost private spot there was nobody besides us and many times there was 10 Rabbits on the water together with Blunts and Surf. Our guests were really good in I think shops owners and managers had good fun just like us.
We ate some really good food at Patrick’s (thanks Chief), and went back to the water for some more ride. The wind dropped and become pretty gusty but I “had” to take my favourite Gypsy as all customers grabbed all Smokes and Bosses. Thanks to Gypsy’s huge wind range I could have fun on the Surf anyway. Niccolo was on white Smoke, and it was fun to watch him flying. I think Ben has some nice shots of him. I didn’t do much, I could even say nothing, but really I had fun riding simply my gypsy and my 6'0. Just planning, going up wind or down wind, a turn here and there, a little jump, with everybody on the water, smiling, having fun..
We were pretty tired after almost all day in the water, so with smile on our faces we arrived in Jorplace hostel - the best one in whole Holland (or maybe even Europe). It is owned and run by my old kite friend from Dominicana and it was great to hang out again. We had a lot of fun playing Guitars Hero at Sony Playstation.
Check the pics so you'll have some more idea and follow our little adventures, coming soon again
Thanks.
In the name of the Rabbits
