Leucate & Beauduc, FRANCE

I have fun writing all these little news updates, but it' s not easy my friends. Why? Because too many things are happening.

We're always rolling in the camper to meet people, to get some good riding or just talking shit …. there’s not enough time and space to describe everything. Life aboard is a joke, just imagine 4 or 5 guys together for 6 weeks 24hours a day.

This would be totally impossible if we weren’t goood friends - that's for sure, fortunately we're happy to spend time together, Niccolo, Mike, Ben, Marek, and I. After 4 weeks, we're still ok, happy, not fighting….too much and still on  the road.

After Portugal we drove to Tarifa, which was not too far from Faro, we wanted to see our shop and some friends.
We met Jaime in his brand new big shop, it was nice to see him. We also met up with Danny, our crazy, strong, high wind rider.
Tarifa has changed big time in one year, it's a city now, with a lot of new buildings. This kind of sucks, but it’s still beautiful in the center of the town. We enjoyed having a few beers before heading for France.

We started the engines of both the camper and the Porsche, rolled one and escaped in the night.
We only spent about 3 or 4 hours in Tarifa because we had to pick up Mike in Barcelona at the airport the next day at 2 pm.
So we drove all night.

After a full day of driving the camper it felt good to arrive in Barcelona.
Big Mikey was already there, with his 3 big bags!!!! We welcomed him in the Rabbit camper with a good beer. Now we're reeaaally packed my friends. I swear.
We slept at Ben's place in France, the area is called "hue le vent" and is very nice…….. if you ever want to sleep around Limoux. The next day we went to Leucate, it was windy like always in Leucate, so good news for first rides with new Gypsy 7m and Bunny 5m. We started the session in a little lagoon on shore and decided to go up wind to the off shore side. We had a lot of fun there. It was so flat and clean that just a simple ride pulled by the kite was almost orgasmic. You'll understand when you see the pics -  I’m sure. We met with our shop Pro Center and presented our news. Later we had a good dinner and drinks at "le bleu", a very good bar which is owned by our very good friend Eric, who also kites very well.

The next day we were going to la Franqui les coussoulles for a big open test again. It was a perfect day, really sunny and really windy, everybody was stoked, even us. It was nice especially for me and Ben cause we saw our friends there, (since we're almost locals).
We had some good jumps in Leucate, and it was nice cause throughout this month and a half we had all kinds of winds, but we missed strong ones, like those in Leucate. We had a lot of fun that day, also just from watching, just check out Geremi’s sequences, one of our friends from Leucate. He was trying something like s-bend to kiteloop, we only captured the end, but you’ll see how nice the spot is. After that session we headed down to Montpellier.

The next spot, Beauduc, was not too windy, but enough to go out into water, and as usual it was also crowded.
We couldn t get through with the camper to go up wind (the best place there) so Manu called David. David, with his 4*4 truck came to the rescue and took us with our stuff. The session was light, but we had fun and finished with a down wind to the camper.
Now its time for hot and sunny Italy - every day, different spot, different shop

Stay tuned
