The drive to Portugal was quite long, didn’t bother me though cause I slept most of the time.
I couldn’t keep my eyes open even behind the wheel, so Ben drove the majority of time.
So, like usual, when we arrived, the wind was blowing strongly. We first stopped in Peniche, Lucas and Camil went out into the water for a little session.
In the evening we arrived to Guincho, where we had to meet Pedro and Danielo, our Portuguese friends, as well as Simon and Lionel, who coming from France to film us here.
Camil left the next day, Camil (mozarellina) was with us from the beginning of the tour and has been a great member of the Rabbit Gang. He has the gang spirit, always smiling, and ready to help out all the rabbits. He also took lot’s of good pictures throughout the whole tour. We gave him a memorable good-bye :). We will miss him, but at the same time, we get more space in the camper :) … at least for a while, before Mike arrives - then we re basically fucked. Mike is the biggest rabbit , but we’ll see … nothing is impossible with the rabbit gang.
Almost everything was perfect, the wind was blowing, but there were no waves and… our feet were still hurting, it was a shame! So that’s how things were, that's why it was hard to get good footage, we need to have everything together, sun, wind, waves, and most importantly we need to be in shape...
Still we had some fun, we rode gently, we didn't do too many tricks, but we were here to help out interested kiters with testing our stuff. We were able to spend more time on talking with people and explaining to them whatever they wanted.
Danielo came down from Algarve with his camper to see us, Niccolo and I were super happy to see him, he’s a good friend, always with a smile smacked to his face.
We also met up with another friend of ours that was here by pure chance, Charlie with his surf board, his buzz board, his gypsy, and his Porsche! This guy has reeaaally good taste.
He's gonna follow us all the way to France, and it s cool cause we were getting bored already of driving the rabbit camper.
We ended up staying a few days in Guincho, everything was going well so we didn’t see any reason to move. But eventually we had to go back to France, so we drove south, to Danielo's place for one day cause the spot is really nice there.
We had good luck as usual, it was windy, and we all went to the spot with Danielo, on his boat. Check out the pics! You’ll see we had fun!
The spot is a little kite paradise, with a little sand dune to play, really flat water and a constant side off shore wind. It was also perfect for people to test our stuff.
Portuguese kiters are a bit crazy, they jump on each other almost all the time, we freaking out just by looking at them, but fortunately nothing happened.
Again we would have wanted to stay, but we quickly had to get to Tarifa to meet up with our friends, and then again come back to France.
For sure all this sounds like a great vacation, and I would be lying if I said we weren’t having fun, BUT we're always on the move, we don't sleep much, and we are starting to get tired of the camper.
Fortunately, thanks to Charlie, we now also have a Porsche, which makes the road more fun.
Follow our rabbit adventures, next stop is France, and the forecast says it’s gonna be really windy!.....
